Some medication’s side effects may cause shedding of hair. For example, antidepressants, blood thinners, cholesterol-lowering drugs, and Accutane. If you think that medication you are taking is a possible cause, get your doctor to conduct an assessment. Your doctor may reduce the dosage or switch you to different medicines.
